چکیده
Ocean energy systems (OESs) convert the kinetic, potential, and thermal from oceans seas to electricity. These are broadly classified into tidal, wave, thermal, current marine systems. If fully utilized, OESs can supply planet with required electricity demand as they capable of generating approximately 2 TW energy. The wave converter (WEC) capture kinetic potential in waves using suitable mechanical capturers such turbines paddles. density ocean is range tens kilowatts per square meter, which makes them a very attractive source due high predictability low variability when compared other renewable sources. Because final objective any (RES), including WECs, produce electricity, capturer WEC coupled an electrical generator, controlled then by power electronic converters generate inject output utility AC grid. used RESs photovoltaics wind have been progressing significantly last decade, improved harvesting process, benefit WECs. In this context, paper reviews main architectures present aid development these provide useful background for researchers area.

Power converters: definitions, classification and converter topologies
This paper introduces power conversion principles and defines the terminology. The concepts of sources and switches are defined and classified. From the basic laws of source interconnections, a generic method of power converter synthesis is presented. Some examples illustrate this systematic method. Finally, the notions of commutation cell and soft commutation are introduced and discussed.
متن کاملForecasting for Control and Environmental Impacts of Wave Energy Converters
This work is divided in to two distinct parts. In the first part a model is developed to assess the redistribution of wave energy about an offshore array of overtopping type wave energy converters. The model is based on a classical analytical solution for diffraction about a breakwater which is modified to consider an array of dissipating, reflecting and transmitting breakwater segments, which ...
متن کاملControl of Power Electronic Converters in Distributed Power Generation Systems
This paper investigates the operation of a currentcontrolled Voltage Source Converter (VSC) under weakgrid conditions caused by large grid impedance. Threedifferent current controller structures are investigated; theconventional decoupled PI-controller in the synchronouslyrotating reference frame, Proportional Resonant (PR)controllers in the stationary reference frame, a...
متن کاملTuning of fuzzy logic controller using an improved black hole algorithm for maximizing power capture of ocean wave energy converters
Seas and oceans are the most important sources of renewable energy in the world. The main purpose of this paper is to use an appropriate control strategy to improve the performance of point absorbers. In this scheme, considering the high uncertainty in the parameters of the power take-off system in different atmospheric conditions, a new improved black hole algorithm is introduced to tune fuzzy...
متن کاملFlexible Power Electronic Transformer for Power Flow Control Applications
This paper proposes a Flexible Power Electronic Transformer (FPET) for the application in the micro-grids. The low frequency transformer is usually used at the Point of Common Coupling (PCC) to connect the low voltage grid and utility network to each other. The conventional 50Hz transformer results in enhanced low voltage-grid power management system during grid-connected operation. In this pap...
